 With the help of professional genealogists,  librarians, and our own members we investigate the resources available to us in our genealogical quests. We concentrate on the culture, genealogy, history, and language of our Slavic forebearers.  We're friendly, require no membership fees, and keep no membership lists. About once a month we meet at a local library in the St Louis metro area or plan a field trip.

How were the houses in Prague identified during the Middle Ages?  What does the Three Ostriches identify?  Explore the historic Prague neighborhoods which tourists never visit.  Presented by Tom Raeber.  Sponsored by the Czech School Board, American Czech Educational Center.  Event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.

The Czech (Bohemian) Genealogical Researchers will research their Czech ancestors. We will meet in the History and Genealogy Department, located on Tier 5. Volunteers will be present to answer questions.  Event will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.

The Irish in Bohemia. 

Explore the impact the Irish had on Bohemian culture, religion and society. The Irish Franciscans introduced the potato to the Bohemians and formed a major seminary in Prague on Hybernsk (Ireland) Street.  Discover the Irish influence on the Austrian military forces.  Presented by Mary Petersen

St. Louis and the Č.S.P.S. Lead the Way. 

Explore the history of the Č.S.P.S., the first fraternal insurance association founded in America.  The Czech Slavonic Protective Association was founded in 1854 in St. Louis.  Today the Č.S.P.S. operates under the title of CSA Fraternal Life.  Presented by Deborah Zeman, American Czech Educational Center.
